Our commitment to you
At this time, we have taken the difficult decision to close the Health Club leisure facilities from 26th December until 4th January 2021. This includes our pool, gym, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. All active leisure memberships will be suspended during this period of closure and payments will be paused. If your membership was already paused prior to our movement towards tier 3 restrictions, your membership will remain paused.
We are currently evaluating our ability to reopen our leisure facilities in the New Year. The Health Club team will use feedback from members to make the best choice for our guests and team alike, and keep our guests updated.
When we reopen
Every member or guest will be required to book a slot to use our facilities using our online booking system. This is a requirement for both the swimming pool and the gym. Our Health Club members will also be required to book fitness classes online. Slots will be available to book the day before your visit in the online members area. Any member or guest who arrives without a booking confirmed will not be permitted to use the facilities.

Each slot starts on the hour and will be 45 minutes in duration, providing 30 minutes to use the facilities and 15 minutes for changing. This will allow for additional cleaning measures to be carried out and to ensure the capacity of our facilities at any one time is suitable for social distancing. It also gives our members and guests suitable time to exit the premises safely.
We politely ask all members and guests to respect their allocated slot and duration in order to allow all users to access their full time provision.
Users may book slots in varying activities, for example, gym and pool, gym and class or pool and class are all permissible combinations. Members and guests will not be permitted to book consecutive slots in the same activity (for example, gym and gym).
Members who book to use the gym only will not be permitted to use the swimming pool and vice versa.
As of Monday 5th October, Health Club members with a booking for the pool will be permitted to access the sauna and steam room. These facilities are now permitted to reopen, in response to government guidance. Access the sauna and steam room will be allowed, ensuring members observe the below measures at all times:
No more than two guests at any one time in the sauna/steam room
Maximum 10 minute use per person to accommodate all visitors
Keep a 2m distance from others (unless they are a member of your household)
In accordance with government guidelines, at this time it is not required that those using our pool and gym facilities wear a facial covering. However, masks are required when moving around the spa and leisure common areas, such as the reception.
In order to follow government guidelines and minimize the number of people in the changing rooms at any one time, all gym users are politely requested to come dressed and ready for their activity. We also ask that guests return to their home or accommodation to shower wherever possible. Poolside showers will be available for pool users only. Where possible, changing rooms should only be accessed to use the toilet facility. We thank you for your co-operation and patience in this matter.
We recommend that pool users arrive with a swimming costume underneath clothes, which will enable users to get changed in the quickest possible time, thus allowing for minimal contact with others. Lockers will be available on request and high contact points sanitised on a regular basis. Please wash your hands and make use of the sanitisation products available in all spa and leisure club areas.
Members and guests are asked to bring mats and water bottle. Water bottles can be refilled using the water fountain, which will be available for refilling only and face contact will not be permitted.
For those with membership including towel provision, towels will continue to be available. As per our effective measures of cleaning and sanitation, all towels are washed in line with government standards and cross-contamination is stringently avoided. Our members are welcome to bring their own towel, if they prefer.
Members and guests will be asked to sanitize hands when entering and exiting the facility and the gym. All guests entering the spa and leisure areas will be subject to a temperature test upon entry. Our Spa and Leisure teams have received COVID-specific training and have increased the frequency of cleaning all areas of our facilities.
After use, we politely request that our members and guests wipe down every piece of equipment that is used during their session with the disposable paper towels and disinfectant spray provided. To minimise the risk of transmission, personal sweat towels are currently not permitted in the gym and guests are asked to use the disposable paper towels provided.
Common areas and any touch points will be periodically disinfected. In addition, we have reinforced our stringent measures of health, safety and hygiene with a thorough nightly deep-clean of our facilities, which includes the use of a disinfectant misting device using XtraProtect, a British lab-tested formula which kills 99.9% of bacteria and viral infections including COVID-19 and lasts on surfaces for up to 8 days.
Hand sanitizer can be found at entry and exit points, at the entrance to the pool and by the water fountain in the gym.

We have made some necessary changes to our operating hours, which will provide us with sufficient time to carry out essential deep-cleaning measures within the leisure facilities after service.
