Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. We pre-booked our menu choices which worked a treat and all paid individually at the bar when we first arrived. Considering there where 23 of us and it was on the night Wales played Belgium ( very busy night ) the food was excellent and all the staff so obliging. Special thanks go to Bobby who was so helpful. It was my friends 50th birthday and she said it was definitely a night to remember. Everyone was really impressed.

What a lovely romantic setting in Ciro’s Brasserie. A Mediterranean feel which always reminds us of being on holiday. Service and quality of food both top notch. Try the soufflé for dessert!

Dinner with family at Nelson’s Bar at the Grosvenor Pulford. We choose a mixture of dishes and were simply stunned with the quality and service. We can really recommend the Chicken Caesar Salad and the Nelson Burger. A really nice place to be with stunning gardens.

We usually like to try different places, but 3 nights at the hotel and we haven’t eaten anywhere else. French onion soup, mushroom risotto, asiette of seafood, fillet steak, carvery (beef, gammon and turkey), tarte tatin with cinnamon ice cream, and afternoon tea. All amazing and we eat out a lot. It was all perfect and the staff are really nice.

I decided to have the scallops with carrot puree to start and the chicken and basil tagliatelle for main and I was not disappointed at all. The atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect, the staff were wonderful from the minute we walked in and the ambience was delightful. The portion sizes of the food were absolute perfection, the cocktails were delicious and the food must have been created by some kind of wizard. I’ve never tasted scallops like it before, they simply melted in your mouth and the carrot puree was delicious. I was so impressed with the staff members who could not have been more attentive. Very, very impressed and very highly recommended!

A wonderful venue for my parent’s Golden Wedding Anniversary. Thanks go to Nia (Events Manager) and her team for making the day (Sat 5th March) wonderful. Having previously used the Ciro’s Brasserie for large family meals we had our expectations surpassed on Saturday by attentive staff, a beautifully prepared function room and wonderful food. Every member of our party were full of praise for the food (“that was the best pasta dish I’ve ever tasted”, from one family member who is used to fine dining) and also the 2 charming and attentive head waiters, who were equally caring with the older and younger guests. Thank you and we look forward to our next family gathering with you!

The choice of food on the menu was wide and varied as was the wine list. The service and ambiance was delightful and to go with our 3 course meal, we enjoyed a great bottle of Prosecco. All in all, a good dining experience that we enjoy again in the not too distant future and one that I can recommend to all.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly, efficient and professional without being intrusive. Pleasing to hear that two members of staff spoke Welsh. The restaurant had a very warm and intimate ambience, the food served was excellent in presentation and flavour. We will be recommending to friends and family.

Second time we’ve been to Ciro’s in the Grosvenor now and we will certainly be going back. I appreciate well cooked, good quality food and have been so disappointed with many other restaurants claiming to offer this. Ciro’s is different – the menu is extensive, food mouth watering, excellent staff and simply beautiful surroundings. 10/10 every time.

Celebrating our anniversary we stayed at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and after a long day traveling we were too tired to go out for dinner so decided to stay in at Ciro’s Brasserie. The restaurant is a beautiful atmospheric environment, the service was warm and friendly and the food was impeccable, easily one of the best meals we have ever had.

“Booked afternoon tea here for a 21st birthday. Ciro’s Brasserie was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations. We didn’t wait long at all for the festive afternoon tea to be brought to us, and the sandwiches, cakes and scones were all delicious. The staff were lovely and helpful – kept asking whether we needed another pot of tea! They also asked whether we wanted a little extra for the birthday and brought out ice cream with sparklers whilst singing happy birthday! A lovely touch. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.”

“The food was just perfect, the service was exemplary, great value for money and the ambiance was spot on. We had the stone bass & seafood tagliatelle for mains, and Banana Tarte Tatin & dark chocolate & Kirsch cherry ice cream for dessert. Presentation of dishes was perfect, as good as you’d find anywhere. We’ve eaten in a lot of different places all over the country (mainly through working away) and this place compares favorably to anywhere else we’ve been to, including central London. It’s only 10 minutes drive from the centre of Chester, and so worth the cab fare if you’re staying in or around the city centre. And if you live round here, you’ve no excuse not to go at all! Absolutely wonderful, put it at the top of your list, you will NOT be disappointed.”

“I recently dined here with my wife and our parents and I really can’t fault the experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and there is a lovely ambience to the place. The waiting staff quickly showed us to our table and presented us with the menu, they asked if we wanted a chance to check the wine list or wanted a drink straight away. We decided to order a drink straight away which arrived promptly at the table.
My wife requires a Gluten free diet and the waiting staff very patiently went through what was available on the menu and even went to the trouble of double checking with the chef if any adjustments could be made to certain meals that initially weren’t highlighted as Gluten free. Thankfully there was lots of choice and my wife was happily able to select a meal with minimum fuss. The moment we were ready to order the waiter was on hand, I’m not sure if this was a coincidence or he was watching us to be able to do this but if he was waiting it was done very subtly and certainly was not noticed to be ‘lurking’ close by!
The order was promptly taken and we all waited for our food to arrive. It took no time at all and on first appearance we were all very impressed. The food was wonderfully presented, I had ordered the trio of Pork as did others, some had Dover Sole and others 6 hour braised blade of Beef. Well the dishes all lived up to their appearance, there was not one complaint and everyone cleared their dish. The portion size was perfect, as mentioned above everyone cleared their plate but no one had room for dessert.
We paid the bill which we all agreed was very reasonable for the dining experience we had received and retired to the Bar area happy and full and all decided we would return again as soon possible.”

“Ciro’s Brasserie is a beautiful restaurant especially with all the Christmas decorations up, it looks magical. We stayed on a Sunday night so it was carvery. We both chose to have turkey, it was cooked perfectly. Lots of different vegetables to choose from which were all cooked perfectly. The chefs were really cheerful and had a chat with all the customers whilst carving their meat.
The Yorkshire Puddings came with their very own side plate due to the size of them which was great.
The staff were very attentive and never left you with an empty glass. It was a very busy evening in the restaurant but the hotel made sure there were enough staff waiting-on. All of the staff seemed very happy in their jobs and couldn’t have done anymore to make our evening more perfect.”

“We booked a table in Ciro’s Brasserie following booking a Travel Zoo deal. We skipped the starters as the deserts looked great. My partner went slight off menu, asking for the tomato blush risotto but replacing the prawns with chorizo. It was no problem at all for them; I had the pork cooked two ways. We also ordered a side of the beans with Blacksticks blue cheese. Well, heaven is the best way to describe what we received. The flavours were strong but none were overpowering. All the food was cooked perfectly, we felt we were in the best Michelin starred restaurant, can’t believe it is not. For desert, my partner had lemon tart; I had the cheese and biscuits; it was simply divine on all aspects. Finished off with a Illy coffee! We also had a wine as part of the deal, we would have been very happy to pay for the Sauvignon Blanc as it was excellent. The service was professional and friendly, they couldn’t do enough for you. The table was ours for the night, no rush and nothing was too much. One of the best overall meals and places I have ever eaten…”

Mum and I also had some drinks and light supper in Ciro’s, and I would just like to acknowledge the restaurant staff, simply fantastic, attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant supervisor checked several times if we were ok, and that our needs were being met, lovely man with an obvious passion for his job, we felt relaxed and very well taken care of.
I have visited the hotel several times, always had a super experience but never thought to contact you, but Tuesday’s experience was so positive I only felt it right that you should know what a fantastic service your staff are providing. Simply brilliant!!

“My wife and I booked through Superbreak at Thomas Cook. The location was perfect , a short ride into Chester with lots of parking but the park and ride is very close. The whole 3 day stay was amazing. The room; food, spa, and especially the staff, were all magnificent. We had dinner bed and breakfast and every meal was amazing. My wife requires a gluten free diet which in some hotels is difficult, the GM could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and my wife was made to feel valued rather than a nuisance which is often the case. We will certainly return.”

“Had a two night spa break with friends. Lovely room, great facilities and a fantastic bistro restaurant with divine food and friendly and helpful staff. Attention to detail throughout results in a very well-run hotel that is spotlessly clean, well maintained and sharp. There is a top of the range spa facility with well trained and friendly staff that the wives made great use of. There is also a huge pool and well equipped gym. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed during our stay. The hotel has lots of areas one can relax in with varying styles depending on your mood. This hotel is excellent value for money and worth a visit. We all wished we could stay longer. Highly recommended.”

“A treat from my husband after a busy few days and wow what a lovely hotel. We were in the refurbished rooms which were very smart and funky as well as comfortable. Great big bed and a TV in the bathroom!! What’s not to like. Food was delicious, piping hot and served with a great selection of wines. A special mention goes to Maria who looked after us in Ciro’s who was a really lovely knowledgeable staff member and great advocate of the hotel. Hope to get back sometime to stay again and make use of the spa too.”
