Recently had lovely afternoon tea package at the Grosvenor Pulford’s Kasia spa. The surroundings are beautiful, with a Japanese garden and the inside finished to a very high standard. On arrival we were greeted by a staff member and given a tour of the facilities. What struck me about here in comparison to other spas I’ve visited in the north west was the number of rooms. There were two relaxation rooms, a hamman room and a lounge area with a waterfall. I really liked the use of water features.

Shortly after arriving, once changed into robes you have a tea ceremony, where you are presented with cups of fruit tea, flannels and a (plastic) lily on a tray and invited to relax and enjoy the waterfall and general ambience of the surroundings. In most rooms, including the changing and waiting areas there are jugs of iced mint and cucumber water, which is very refreshing. I found the temperature of the spa building itself to be on the warm side.

The treatments were twenty five minutes in length and the therapists were smartly presented and professional.

The swimming pool area is flooded with natural light, and is relatively small in size -a roman style bath with columns and paintings. There’s also a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Again, it was well maintained and scrupulously clean. It didn’t affect our visit, but there is a timetable of activities in the pool – e.g. children’s swimming lessons from 9-11am.

The afternoon tea was worth the wait. The standard sandwiches were beef, ham, salmon, and cucumber. We asked for a few amendments and these were accommodated without a problem. The selection of cakes comprised a fresh raspberry tart, berry meringue, battenberg, and chocolate eclair with hazelnut filling. The fruit scones were served with clotted cream and a selection of fruit jams. We got a pot of tea each. There was a choice of tea, however none was loose leaf which disappointed me a little – bags like tea pigs are readily available now and the taste is markedly superior. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the garden. The rest of the menu looked good too. They had a full wine list and cocktails / mocktails too.

On the whole it was a wonderful day in probably the nicest surroundings of any spa I’ve been to. I’d recommend it and I’d love to go back.

I was attracted to this particular spa and deal partly because of personal recommendation but also because it offered unrestricted access from 9-5pm whereas others had specified only 2 or 4 hours access to facilities.

Once inside the spa area we were greeted politely and given a full tour of the facilities and, after changing, were offered Asian tea before being left to use the facilities as we wished. The ambience of the area was lovely with tasteful decor, dim lighting, candles, trickling water, and a pleasant aroma. I had opted for a 25 minute express facial as part of the package and this was very pleasant with recommendations made by the therapist for future skin care.

The spa facilities were more limited than others I have used but comprised a very pleasant Roman pool area and approx 4 loungers, a jacuzzi next to the pool, a small sauna and a steam room. In addition to the treatment rooms there were also a couple of relaxation areas. Adjacent to the spa area there is a beautiful Japanese garden area for the use of spa guests, and as we were lucky to visit on a beautiful sunny day, we were able to sit in the sun and have our afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco which was purchased separately. The afternoon tea was fresh and plentiful.

We had our wedding reception last Saturday at the Grosvenor Pulford. I had a lovely girl do my bridal make up but I didn’t quite catch her name, she also did my sister’s make up too and we just want to let her know how pleased we were with it! I was apprehensive at first because it wasn’t the girl who I had originally for my trial, but she couldn’t have made me feel more at ease. She came in, asked what I would like and got straight to work. She was very professional and down to earth and made me completely relax to the point where I could have fell asleep. My make up lasted beautifully all day, even through my tears 🙂 so a big huge thank you to her! My new husband and I also had a hamman and 2 full body massages the following day. They were the best treatments we’ve had at any spa we’ve ever been to, and we can not wait to return for more!

A delightful experience. My husband and I decided to treat ourselves with a Time-To-Spa Day including Afternoon Tea package at Spa by Kasia. All the service that we received was outstanding! We were greeted warmly and got exactly what we paid for. The spa treatments Booster Facial – 40 minutes and Deep Tissue Back Massage – 25 minutes were excellent. The spa, afternoon tea and facilities were lovely. Highly recommended.

What a fabulous place, I booked this spa break for me and my daughter and was not disappointed one bit. The spa was amazing, the treatments were lovely and the facilities were great. The girls were all nice and very attentive. I would definitely recommend! The hotel was lovely too, the rooms were nice and clean and meals in the gorgeous brasserie were very good too. There’s not one bad thing to say about the whole experience, this was our first spa break and we will definitely be doing it again at this fabulous place.
