To mark National Heart Month, the Cheshire-based Nelson Hotels Group has launched a brand new dish, the Sharing Is Caring Pudding Plank, to raise funds for local charity, the Vital Signs Foundation (VSF).
The new dish will only be available throughout February and will feature on the menus of the Group’s properties located throughout Cheshire.
Ciro’s Brasserie at The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa, Tattenhall’s The Pheasant Inn, Delamere’s The Fishpool Inn and The Bear’s Paw in Sandbach, will all be serving the Sharing Is Caring Pudding Plank, which features a selection of popular and delicious desserts.
Ten per cent of all sales of the sharing pudding platter across the entire properties will be donated to Vital Signs Foundation at the end of the month.
Working in partnership with Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, the heart screening charity Vital Signs Foundation provides free heart screenings to young people aged 15 to 35.
With twelve apparently fit and healthy young people aged 35 and under dying each week from undiagnosed heart conditions in the UK, the charity was formed to raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest amongst this age group.
The charity’s goal is to reduce the number of sudden deaths caused by undiagnosed heart conditions in young people.
Commenting on this latest fundraising campaign, Lucy Nelson, Sales & Marketing Director at Nelson Hotels, said:
“We chose to support the Vital Signs Foundation because of the work it does to support young people throughout the Northwest. We have designed the exciting ‘Sharing Is Caring’ dish to offer our guests a fun and delicious way to raise funds for the charity.
“We hope our guests will enjoy raising much-needed funds for such an important charity and together we can help make a difference to the lives of the young people and their families who are affected by potential heart conditions.”
The Sharing Is Caring Pudding Plank will be available throughout February at all the properties within the Nelson Hotels Group.
